Perhaps the next encounter will set you on the road to new wealth and power or your life may be taken from you, so it’s essential to keep your wits about you at all times!” And yes, you should always be aware of what’s in the next corner… or, perhaps, for you, where the next corner is. It feels like such a fluid and intuitive experience; you’re not nearly as bothered by things like the destination icon popping up at inconvenient times or that you often end up in another map due to the map changing as you go. You can quickly set a destination and it’s there when you need it. This pretty much makes the entire experience all about you. There’s no one telling you what to do, and no heuristics in place to constantly degrade your experience like there was in the previous game. That is quite refreshing. Stealth is more important than action, and my thought is that, without the need to hold down the action button while sneaking, sneaking actually becomes easier. The gameplay seems to heavily hinge on the timing you allow to pass crowds and other player’s actions – the longer you wait, the longer it takes for your stealth to be detected. This means that you want to be aware of what other players might see and do, and also you shouldn’t always do what you want. It’ll be a wild ride, but you can’t simply focus on the action button and get away with it. You have to play appropriately and be on your toes.
